SEMA Project Vehicle Nears Completion
CHINO, CA—PowerBass will have a new demo vehicle in
their booth for the SEMA show. The company elected to go
with a 2006 Scion Xb, owned by Team PowerBass member Chris
Caldwell. Chris is a native of Southern California and has
been working with locally with PowerBass almost two years.
“The
philosophy behind the Scion mirrors that of PowerBass”,
noted Robin McNeal of PowerBass, “Young, edgy, and
rebellious. This is definitely the market we are seeking.
Much like the Scion, PowerBass is a young company that has
got people standing up and taking notice!”
The
Xb, as you can tell from the photos, is being completely
gutted. It will contain the lastest PowerBass Xtreme amplifiers,
woofers, speakers and electronics. Four Class D amplifiers
will pump out over 6,000 watts alone, not to mention the
separate full range Class A/B amplifiers for the mids and
highs that will round out the lighted amp rack. Custom fiberglass
pods are being built to house four massive 3XL-12D subwoofers.
The
other changes will be dramatic as well. The interior seats
will be replaced by Katzkin. New wheels are being supplied
by 5zigen. A brand new custom body kit from JP Aerodynamics
was flown in just for the project. Additional upgrades include
an Easy Street air suspension system, complete Magnaflow
exhaust, Fugita air intake, and a Ground Fusion grounding
kit.
The
complete “xtreme makeover” is taking place at
Nationally Acclaimed installation shop and PowerBass dealer,
Serenity Sound/Performance of Costa Mesa, CA. See the finished
work of art at the PowerBass booth #10878 during SEMA or
on the PowerBass website www.powerbassusa.com after the
show.
