PowerBass
teams up with local dealer for Comedy Central promotion
CHINO, CA—November 23-27 marked Comedy Centrals annual
Thanksgiving viewer contest.
This
year, Comedy Central called the contest Thanxgiveaway Wiikend
(sic) and gave away a Nintendo Wii every hour throughout
the long Thanksgiving weekend. At the end of the weekend,
the grand prize was a Wii console and a 2006 Toyota Scion
that was tricked out to look like a Wii Audio Innovations
of Glendora, CA was called upon to customize the Scion xB
and load it up with navagation, dvd-video, and a complete
audio system courtesy of PowerBass. Joe and Annette Provenzano,
owners of Audio Innovations, overlooked the entire project
from paint, graphics, interior and of course the A/V Gaming
installation. The results were incredible!
“We
were very pleased to be a part of such a huge promotion”,
stated Robin McNeal, VP Sales & Marketing for PowerBass,
“To be able to participate with Scion and Nintendo
is fantastic. The visibility alone is tremendous considering
we all share a common demographic.”
The
PowerBass portion of the system consisted of amplifers,
speakers and multi farad stiffening capacitors.
Last
holiday season new video game consoles were big business.
Nintendo spent over $200 million in advertising for the
U.S. market alone. The company is going to what it called
"unprecedented lengths" to let people see, feel
and experience the Wii system. The marketing campaign is
designed to convince the masses that the Wii can be enjoyed
by more than gamers.
“Our
ad budget isn’t that large yet”, stated McNeal,
“But if we can keep increasing our brand awareness
so increases our PowerBass sales.”
